Hard to disagree given injuries. Dont think id have all of Zabaleta Masuaku and Balbuena on the bench. I think Masuaku will come back into the team, and Zabaleta will miss out, with Sanchez on the bench (unless someone like Holland pulls up trees vs Oxford).

The same other than Wilshere for Fornals who looks fucking awful in the middle of the park.

You can't drop Cresswell after yesterday.

Will Lanzini not be fit for this game? I thought he was close yesterday and had a fitness test in the morning. If that's the case he must be ready for this game?

If so, OP's team but with Lanzini in for Fornals.

No way Cressy will be dropped. Nor should he be either.

I will focus on Oxford first but we owe this lot.

Re: Team vs Bournemouth
If Lanzini is fit then he's a shoe in for me. Don't think you can drop Cres after his performance on Sunday.

Bournemouth are a different proposition to Man U (who'd ever have believed that sentence a few years ago) and are looking really sharp and very quick, particularly up front. King and Wilson totally bossed the Saints back four on Friday and we need to be right on our game. However, if we're quick up front then we have a good chance as their defense is not the quickest.

Should be a good game. I'll be there ..

Lanzini out for a month - no more LA - Texas trips for him.

Don't get carried away with cresswell. He is still a defensive liability and is not as good as masuaku when going forward. Just remember how many times he got caught out of position.. I'm 100% sure arthur will start on saturday. The only scenario in which cress starts is if pellers decide to play arthur in more offensive role imo.

Not sure about the Cresswell v Masuaku thing.

But I'd defo start Wilshere over Fornals based on performance yesterday. Wilshere took care of the ball. Fornals looks lost and gives it away.

Re: Team vs Bournemouth
If you play Creswell at Oxford you can play Masuaku at Bournemouth. I dont see a problem here. You dont just earn a prem place after 1 game, you earn it after repeat perfomances.

And what does it say to Masuaku? You dont do anything wrong, not even injured and you lose your place? Kind of mad.

I'd be more worried about Fornals. Bournemouth are well drilled and we need alot of hard work as well as creativity.

Re: Team vs Bournemouth
I would give Fornals time and replace with wilshere at some point. We have to put faith in the guy and hope he comes good. I have a feeling he will but he needs the chances to do so.

Re: Team vs Bournemouth
MP wanted two players who could interchange in each position. Some positions would clearly be a lot weaker e.g. GK and CF, but on the whole, he's got what he wanted, or near enough. I imagine he now has to trust the likes of Cresswell, Fornals, Balbuena, Wishere etc... to simply step in and play the same system. We're weakened by the loss of Lanzini and Antonio at the same time, but on the whole, it feels like there is a clear plan of squad responsibility and I like it. So for me, Arthur on Wednesday and Aaron at the weekend just makes sense given it's a cup week, we played yesterday, and both are on pretty decent form.

You could argue that he got sent off and almost cost us the game at Villa? Not saying this is necessarily the case but a consideration whether the 2nd yellow was deserved or not.

Re: Team vs Bournemouth
cresswell had a good game against United but this is where west ham need to be ruthless and bring musuaku back in

His pace and link up with felipe down the left was sorely missed against united. Cresswell hardly got forward as much as arthur does.

Re: Team vs Bournemouth
Diehard

There is no way Cresswell is going to be dropped after his performance and goal at the weekend.

Couple of weeks ago people were calling for Balbuena to be put into the team after a win and a clean sheet. Think Ogbonna put that one to bed at the weekend also.
